East Kilbride Rotary Club
The Club were honoured to have two members participate officially at this World Conference plus Club members agreed to act as a host Club for Rotarians world wide this is a little recorded history of what was done to make the event a success for our District 1230. Rotarians from over the world were picked up from their hotel and taken to the homes of some East Kilbride Rotarians where they were given Pre dinner Aperitifs then escourted to the Torrance Hotel East Kilbride where entertainment and dinner were provided. President John Givens was a Sergeant of Arms at the conference and Edwin Robertson was responsible for the provision of all the linguists over the 3 days of the conference
